A motorist was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle crash in Pomona.
The driver was the only person in his vehicle, which left a roadway, struck a parked car, a wall and then a fire hydrant, according to Cpl. J.T. Garcia of the Pomona Police Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers were dispatched at 8:43 a.m. to the scene of the crash, near East Phillips Boulevard and South Reservoir Street, Garcia said.
The department’s Traffic Services Bureau asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (909) 620-2081.
