Sheriff’s homicide detectives and the family of a 23- year-old man shot and killed when he went to a Halloween party in Pico Rivera appealed Tuesday for information about the killing.
Deputies found Valente Casas on the street in the 9600 block of Par Place at 12:03 a.m. on Nov. 1, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Casas and the suspected shooter got into an argument and the suspect, described only as an Latino male, pulled a gun and shot Casas several times before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction, according to deputies, who said at the time of the shooting that the killing appeared to be gang-related.
Video and still images from the party are available at https://citizenglobal.com/lasd and can be uploaded anonymously.
