A second-alarm fire destroyed a tire store Wednesday morning in Gardena, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters dispatched at 2:22 a.m. to the area of Gardena Boulevard and Berendo Avenue had the fire out within 46 minutes of their arrival, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
Fifty-five firefighters battled the blaze, and the fire was limited to one building, the dispatcher said. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
A damage estimate was not immediately available.
