A man in his mid-20s was fatally wounded by a gunman during a gang-related shooting attack in the Montecito Heights community of Los Angeles, a police officer said Sunday.
The man was walking on a sidewalk in the 4400 block of Mercury Avenue about 11:15 p.m. Saturday when he was struck by gunfire, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the LAPD’s Media Relations.
Paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries, Herrera said.
