Law enforcement authorities Saturday were looking for two talkative killers who shot and killed a man as he stood outside a residence in Compton.

The victim was discovered on the ground in the 900 block of West 134th Place, Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s Lt. Steve Jauch of the homicide bureau.

Witnesses told detectives the victim was standing outside when he was approached by two men who engaged him in a conversation, according to Deputy Tina Schrader.

During the conversation, one of the men pulled out a handgun and opened fire, hitting the victim in the upper chest, Schrader said.

Both suspects then ran westbound from the scene and disappeared, Schrader said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene Friday just before 9 p.m.. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
