Long Beach Police sought the public’s help Tuesday in investigating the apparent murder of a 62-year-old man found dead in a recreational vehicle in a parking lot near the Los Alamitos Traffic Circle.
The body was discovered in the RV in the 1700 block of Ximeno Avenue about 10:40 a.m. Sunday, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

The man had suffered “a fatal injury to the torso,” police said. He apparently had been stabbed, a coroner’s official added.
The man’s name was being withheld pending family notification. Detectives believe he was a resident of Long Beach who had lived in the city a short time. The preliminary investigation determined the RV had been parked in that location between late Friday night and early Saturday morning.
No arrests were reported and a motive for the killing was unknown.
Anyone with information about the assault was urged to contact homicide detectives Mark Bigel Guarino or Shea Robertson at (562) 570-7244. Anonymous tips may made at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or at www.lacrimestoppers.org.
