A man was killed Wednesday when a vehicle crashed off of an offramp from the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach, police said.
The crash occurred at Sixth Street about 1 a.m., said Long Beach police Lt. Greg Schirmer.
The man, who was in his 30s, died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
Traffic was routed off the southbound 710 Freeway at Anaheim Street for about five hours while an investigation was conducted.
