One person was killed when their vehicle slammed into a palm tree, but it is unclear what lead to the collision, Pomona police said Sunday.
Officers arrived on the 1700 block of South Garey Avenue at 11:18 p.m. and found a red Toyota Corolla that had crashed into a Palm tree in the center median.
Efforts to revive the sole occupant of the vehicle were unsuccessful and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation and Pomona police are asking anyone with information to call the Traffic Services Bureau at (909) 620-2085.
