A pedestrian who was struck and fatally injured by a pickup truck in the Valley Village area of Los Angeles was identified Monday as a 71-year-old man from McCall, Idaho.
Eugene Paul Drabinski was injured about 8:40 a.m. Saturday at Rhodes Avenue and Riverside Drive and died at a hospital, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
Drabinski was walking north across Riverside Drive when he was hit by a Ford F-150 pickup truck that was turning from southbound Rhodes Avenue onto eastbound Riverside Drive, said Los Angeles police Detective William Bustos of the Valley Traffic Division.
The motorist, who stopped and called 911, was not arrested or cited, Bustos said.
