A woman jogging along the Rose Parade route was hit by a car piloted by an alleged drunken driver, who fled but was arrested several blocks away.

Yuki Horne, 40, of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of felony drunken driving.

The jogger was knocked unconscious and had head injuries, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Kelly Evans.

She was rushed to an area hospital in serious condition, according to the Pasadena Fire Department.

The woman had been jogging with a group called Godfather Sean’s Rose Parade Run, which has run the parade route annually for 14 years, according to an eyetwitness who spoke to the Los Angeles Times.

She had been running west on Colorado Boulevard near Sierra Boulevard at about 5:30 a.m. when she was struck by a dark-colored car. The stretch of Colorado Boulevard had been closed to vehicle traffic for the parade.

The driver fled the scene, Evans said, but was later located nearby the scene of the crash.
