A suspected drunken motorcyclist riding a 2007 Harley Davidson was killed when he was thrown from his bike on the Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles and struck by a school bus.

The motorcyclist was later identified as Hawthorne resident Johnny Mosley, 50, said Lt. David Smith of the coroner’s office.

The crash was reported Friday night on the northbound side of the freeway just south of El Segundo Boulevard, CHP Officer Michele Bond said.

The driver of the bus, a 43-year-old man, remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities, according to a CHP news statement. Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Preliminary information suggest DUI was a factor to the collision,” according to the news statement.

There were passengers aboard the bus, Bond said, but it was unclear where the bus was from.
