An actor who appeared in the children’s television series “Power Rangers Samurai” made his first court appearance Friday on a murder charge stemming from his roommate’s stabbing death nearly a year ago.

Ricardo Medina, 36, was ordered to remain jailed in lieu of $1 million bail while awaiting arraignment, which was postponed to Feb. 19.

Medina was taken into custody Thursday on a felony arrest warrant.

He’s accused of fatally stabbing Josh Sutter on Jan. 31, 2015, at a house the two shared in Green Valley. They got into an argument over Medina’s girlfriend, and he allegedly stabbed his housemate multiple times with a sword.

If convicted, Medina faces a maximum of 26 years to life in state prison, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
