The city of Los Angeles is now offering a $50,000 reward for information that leads to the apprehension and conviction of the hit-and-run motorist who struck and killed a pedestrian in the Harbor-Gateway area of Los Angeles.
Jung Taek Nam, 72, of Gardena was crossing Vermont Avenue at Francisco Street in a crosswalk at 5:30 a.m. Jan. 7 when he was hit by a car, according to police and the coroner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car was described as a dark blue or purple 2011-2014 Dodge Challenger. No description of the motorist was released.
