A 12-year-old boy was knocked unconscious and suffered minor injuries in a beating by two males who robbed his home in Lancaster Monday, authorities said.
The robbery occurred at a duplex at 1020 W. Avenue H-14 in Lancaster about 4 p.m., according to a lieutenant at the sheriff’s Lancaster Station.
The robbers, one wearing a joker mask and the other a pumpkin mask, went into the duplex through an unlocked door, according to sheriff’s Lt. Derrick Alfred.
They initially smashed objects inside the home, and then attacked the boy, who had been home alone, with a device, Alfred said.
When the boy regained consciousness, the robbers were gone, Alfred said. A neighbor reached the boy’s mother and he was taken to a hospital.
