A man in his 50s was wounded Thursday night in what police said was a drug-related shooting in Watts.
The victim was standing on the corner of 103rd Street and Anzac Avenue about 6:30 when another man approached, they exchanged words and the second man opened fire, said Sgt. James Linder of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station.
The victim was struck three times in the chest, but his wounds were not life-threatening, according to Linder, who said the shooting “appears to be narcotics-related.”
Police were looking for a gunman who was wearing a black hoodie, Linder said.
