One of four suspects who allegedly threatened a man with a Taser during a robbery Thursday at a park in Carson was taken into custody, authorities said.

Deputies responded about 11 a.m. to a “robbery-just-occurred” call in the 1000 block of East 220th Street, according to the sheriff’s department.

The victim said the suspects made the stun gun spark before stealing his cell phone, the sheriff’s department reported.

Deputies searched the area and located a vehicle and a man who matched the description of one of the suspects, authorities said.

“He was detained and positively identified by the victim as one of the suspects who robbed him,” according to a sheriff’s department statement.

The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Miguel Martinez, was booked on suspicion of armed robbery. He was being held in lieu of $50,000 bail and was due in court in Compton on Monday, according to the sheriff’s department.
