A man was fatally shot Monday night in an unincorporated area bordering South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred at 6:14 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 78th Street, between Hooper and Compton Avenues, according to a sheriff’s homicide detective.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the detective said
