“The officers were going north on Crenshaw and were struck by a car going east on Exposition Boulevard,” Springer said. “The force of the crash sent the police cruiser spinning out and striking another car that was trying to make a left turn on to Exposition Boulevard.”
The officers were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, Springer said. No other injuries were reported.
The stolen car chase, meanwhile, ended at Adams Boulevard and Somerset Drive in the Jefferson Park area, Springer said.
“The stolen car was involved in an accident at that location but no injuries were reported,” Springer said.
The suspect was arrested after getting out of the crashed stolen car and trying to run from the scene, he said.
