A person was found dead on the Pomona Freeway in East Los Angeles Thursday night.
Authorities were informed about 7:25 p.m. that there was a person face down in lanes on the eastbound side of the freeway just west of the Long Beach (710) Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Michele Bond.
The person was confirmed dead at the scene, she said.
Three eastbound lanes and the Downey Road off-ramp were closed, and a SigAlert was issued, as officers investigated the death, Bond said.
