One man is dead and three other people were shot and wounded in the Willowbrook area under circumstances that are still being investigated by Los Angeles County Sheriff‘s deputies.
Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said the shootings occurred at 8:45 p.m. Saturday in the 12800 block of Cook Street in unincorporated Los Angeles County.
Deputies at the sheriff’s Century Station responded to reports of an “assault with a deadly weapon” and found one man laying on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, the deputy said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other men and a female juvenile who had been shot and wounded and were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Navarro-Suarez said.
No suspect information was immediately available.
