Two men were shot and wounded outside a recording studio where an event was ongoing and the gunman remained at-large Saturday morning, a sergeant said.
The shooting took place at 11:10 p.m. Friday outside the Cascade Recording Studio at 6611 Santa Monica Blvd., said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Jim Talmage, watch commander at Hollywood Division.
“There was a gathering there and some kind of argument occurred,” Talmage said. “One person suffered a gunshot wound to the hand and the other person a graze wound to the chest and that round ended up lodged his arm.”
Both victims were transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life- threatening injuries, Talmage said.
The sergeant also said it looks like the shooting was fight-related and not gang-related. He didn’t know what kind of music was involved at the studio last night.
Anyone with information about this shooting was asked to call the LAPD’s Hollywood Division at (213) 972-2971. All tips can be made anonymously.
