Police Monday sought the public’s help in locating the hit-and-run motorist who struck and killed a 73-year-old woman on Feb. 10 in Van Nuys.
At about 6 p.m. last Wednesday, a dark-colored four-door sedan was northbound on Hazeltine Avenue and struck the woman at Valerio Street. The elderly woman had been crossing the street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
The driver continued north without rendering aid. Paramedics rushed the woman to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead the following day.
Valley Traffic detectives said the car was possibly a Toyota, and asked anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at (818) 644-8036.
