A fire Friday disabled a San Bernardino-bound Metrolink train locomotive at a station in Pomona, forcing passengers off the train and causing delays on other lines.

The fire was reported about 4 p.m. at the Metrolink station in the 200 block West Santa Fe Street, authorities said.

The train, number 314 on the San Bernardino line, was cancelled and passengers were forced to take other trains to reach their destinations.

Firefighters knocked down the fire just after 5 p.m. and assisted Metrolink crews in securing the locomotive and towing it off the tracks, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatch supervisor said.

No injuries were reported.
