Authorities Monday identified a taxi driver who was shot to death in an apparent robbery in El Sereno.
The shooting was reported at Indiana Avenue and Worth Street at 9:35 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Michael Morisseau of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Station.
Antonio Gonzalez, 43, whose home town was not known, died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
“There were no witnesses,” Morisseau said. Homicide detectives were working to develop leads. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
