A man who suffered a head injury in a fight outside a Lancaster liquor store in January died Wednesday at a hospital, and another man was behind bars in connection with the death, sheriff’s officials said.

Mark Curtis Magurean, 57, had been hospitalized since Jan. 22.

“The victim suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries … at approximately 1:20 a.m.,” said Deputy Kelvin Moody of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez said the suspect, Timothy Munroe, 33, allegedly punched Magurean in the face in the 300 block of East Avenue I.

The home towns of the victim and the suspect were unavailable.
