Five people were arrested at a home in Diamond Bar Wednesday when sheriff’s investigators served a search warrant and discovered a hash or honey oil extraction lab and narcotics, according to a sheriff’s official.

Marijuana and LSD was seized in the 1:30 p.m. raid at the home in the 200 block of South Rock River Road, said Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

All but one of the two men and three women who were arrested lived at the residence, she said. Their names were not immediately released.

The operators of honey oil labs typically use propane gas to break down marijuana to produce concentrated cannibis commonly called hash oil or honey oil.

Such operations have been blamed for explosions and fires, and the danger extends to anyone in close proximity to where hash oil is being manufactured.
