An 81-year-old Manhattan Beach man was sentenced Monday to more than 27 years to life in prison for sexually abusing an 8-year-old girl whose family visited his home for a weekend in 2014.
Robert Dean Lee was convicted March 2 of four counts of committing a lewd act on a child and one count each of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child and possession of child pornography.
Lee, a former airline pilot and U.S. Navy lieutenant commander, was also ordered to register as a sex offender.
The 8-year-old and her family came to stay with Lee and his wife on July 25, 2014. During their four-day stay, Lee repeatedly sexually abused the young girl and provided her with sex toys and a book on sexuality, according to evidence presented at his trial.
More than 20,000 images of child pornography were discovered during a forensic search of Lee’s computer, prosecutors said.
