
A murder charge was filed Wednesday against a man accused of opening fire on another man with an assault rifle in Lancaster.
Michael Greenstone, 34, is accused of killing 29-year-old Travis Ryan Rutlegehass of Lancaster about 5 p.m. Monday at the defendant’s home in the 4600 block of East Avenue G.
According to Los Angeles County sheriff’s Deputy Mike Barraza, the men got into an argument that turned violent, and Greenstone allegedly shot the victim with an AK-47.
Greenstone is scheduled to be arraigned April 20 at the Lancaster courthouse on a murder charge and firearm allegations.
