An exterior gas main break Tuesday forced the evacuation of a bank in Pasadena, but no injuries were reported.
A third-party contractor damaged a small, half-inch line near a commercial building in the vicinity of Washington Boulevard and Allen Avenue at 11:20 a.m., said Javier Mendoza of the Southern California Gas Co.
The leak forced the evacuation of a nearby Chase bank branch.
Gas Co. crews and Pasadena firefighters were able to stop the flow of gas at 12:22 p.m. and were making permanent repairs, Mendoza said.
