A 28-year-old man suspected in the Feb. 23 armed robbery of a Sears store in Industry has been arrested, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Thursday.
When an employee of the Puente Hills Mall store stopped Gerardo Garcia from leaving the business with a pair of boots, he allegedly pointed a pistol at the employee and left the location with the merchandise, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau reported
On Tuesday, shortly after the Sheriff’s Department sent out a request to identify the robbery suspect, an anonymous caller led authorities to arrest Garcia, who was booked at the sheriff’s Industry station on suspicion of armed robbery.
Garcia is being held on $100,000 bail.
