It took the Los Angeles Fire Department about an hour Friday to quell a Chatsworth brush fire, authorities said.
The estimated quarter-acre blaze started about 4:30 p.m. in the 22600 block of Lassen Street, behind the Oakwood Memorial Park & Cemetery, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
It was knocked down about 5:30 p.m., with firefighters remaining at the scene to watch for hot spots.
No structures were threatened by the fire, and no injuries were reported.
