Paramedics rushed a motorist who had been trapped for 20 minutes to an area trauma center after a crash involving a Metro train Saturday in downtown Long Beach.
The crash occurred about 12:34 p.m. in the area of Fourth Street and Long Beach Boulevard, according to Long Beach Fire Capt. Mark Miller.
“It was a 20-minute extrication time, from the time we arrived on the scene and extricated the motorist,” Miller said. He had no gender on the motorist, who was also the lone occupant inside the vehicle.
Metro reported that there will be major delays on the Blue Line in downtown Long Beach due to the crash.
