A motorist suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs led police on a brief chase in the southwest Los Angeles area Monday before crashing her car and being taken into custody.
The chase ended early this afternoon near 43rd Street and Vermont Avenue, said Los Angeles police Officer Tony Im.
Paramedics took the unidentified suspect to a hospital, but her condition was not immediately available.
The vehicle she was driving hit a parked car that overturned, Im said.
