The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department was carrying a search Tuesday for a 63-year-old Llano man who went missing after saying he was going hiking in the San Gabriel Mountains.
Michael Patrick Flynn was last heard from about 9 a.m. Sunday, said Deputy Kimberly Alexander of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
“His vehicle was located near 175th Street and Pearblossom Highway (in) Llano,” Alexander said. “His family believes that he hiked toward Wrightwood and would have camped in the San Gabriel Mountains.”
Flynn was possibly headed for the South Fork Trail, Devil’s Punch Bowl or Big Rock Creek, the deputy said.
He is white, 5 feet 4, 135 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
