A man was in critical condition Monday from multiple injuries suffered when he fell down a cliff at Point Fermin in San Pedro, authorities said.
The fall was reported at 9:09 p.m. Sunday at the cliff in the 800 block of West Paseo del Mar, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded “by air, land and sea,” Humphrey said.
Rescuers got to the fallen man and hoisted him onto a department helicopter that took him to a hospital at about 10 p.m., Humphrey said. There was no word of why he fell or what he was doing in the area at the time.
