A collision between a car and a 29-year-old motorcylist on a street in Arleta left the rider dead and police searching Sunday for the motorist who fled the scene after the crash.

It took place at the intersection of Devonshire Street and Arleta Avenue at 3:10 a.m. Saturday, according to police.

A black and white 2009 Suzuki motorcycle was eastbound on Devonshire Street turning onto southbound Arleta Avenue when it collided with an unknown vehicle, police said.
