A young man was killed Thursday and another was wounded in a drive-by shooting in Long Beach.

Wylee Pritchett, 20, of Lakewood, died at the scene of the shooting, which occurred about 4 a.m. near 64th Street and Coronado Avenue.

The survivor sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was taken to a hospital in stable condition, according to Long Beach police Lt. Dina Zapalski. His name was not released

Laurie Pritchett, the dead man’s mother, said her son was at a house visiting friends when someone drove up and fired several shots from a car.

“A bullet went through my son and went through another kid, his other friend,” she told ABC7.
