A man was shot and killed Friday in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area, between South Los Angeles and Huntington Park.
The shooting was reported about 4 p.m. in the 7500 block of Compton Avenue, three blocks south of Florence Avenue, according to Deputy Guillermina Saldana of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
