A suspect was wounded in an officer-involved shooting in the Hyde Park section of South Los Angeles that was under investigation Saturday.
No officers were injured in the shooting, which occurred about 8:45 p.m. in the area of Slauson and Brynhurst avenues, Los Angeles Police Officer Mike Lopez said.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital, but no information about that person’s condition was immediately available.
A citywide tactical alert — requiring all on-duty Los Angeles Police Department officers to continue with their patrols until called off — was issued in connection with the officer-involved shooting, Lopez said.
