A man and a woman were arrested Monday for allegedly burglarizing vehicles in the Covina area.
The pair were taken into custody about 3:35 a.m. after officers patrolling near the 800 block of North Elspeth Way stopped a vehicle being driven slowly in the neighborhood, said Covina police Sgt. Gregg Peterson.
Police arrested the driver, Alejandro Alfred Salazar, 38, of San Dimas, and his passenger, Leticia Sandoval, 35, of Ontario, and booked them on suspicion of theft and drug offenses, Peterson said. Police also seized stolen property from the vehicle, he said.
The suspects were both being held on $20,000 bail, with arraignment expected on Wednesday at the Citrus courthouse.
