A man who was possibly attempting to rob a downtown Los Angeles marijuana dispensary Wednesday was shot in the foot by a security guard, police reported.
The shooting was reported about 2:30 p.m. in the area of 12th and Main Streets, according to Sgt. Aloaf Walker of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Station.
“It appeared to be an attempted robbery at the location,” he said.
The unidentified man was taken to a hospital for treatment of a non-life- threatening gunshot wound, Walker said.
A woman who was possibly an accomplice was also detained, the sergeant said.
