Firefighters knocked down a brush fire Friday night near Rocky Peak Park, at Rocky Peak Road and California State Route 118.

The blaze originated about 7 p.m. from a vehicle that was over the side of the road, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott. Flames were spreading to nearby brush, according to firefighters at the scene.

Crews were able to extinguish the flames in 22 minutes, with the fire burning about a quarter-acre of brush, Scott said.

No structures were threatened. No one was injured
