Los Angeles Police were searching Sunday for a male hit-and-run driver whose vehicle struck a pregnant woman and three parked cars in the South Park area of Los Angeles before driving off.
The incident occurred at 9:50 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 51st and Main streets, a desk officer at LAPD’s Central Traffic Division said.
The pregnant woman was on the sidewalk when she was struck by the hit- and-run driver after he had slammed into the three parked cars, the desk officer said.
The woman and her unborn child were both fine and listed in stable condition this morning, he said.
Police have no description of the driver or his car, the desk officer said early this morning.
