Her face — and a lot more — are plastered across the Internet, TV screens and newspapers, but the Bikini Bandit Tuesday was still able to avoid capture, authorities said.
According to sheriff’s officials, the woman wearing a green bikini top and a yellow bikini bottom broke into a locked property in the 28000 block of West Avenue C-6 in the Lancaster area and made off with some unidentified items at around 3 p.m. on June 4.
Later that day, she went into an unlocked residence in the 47000 block of Three Points Road in the Lake Hughes area and left with additional merchandise, authorities said.
The bikini-clad bandit was caught on surveillance footage that showed her peering through a glass door and, in a profile shot, pushing her hair over her left ear.
She is described as a white woman in her late 30s, about 5-feet-5 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. She was last seen driving away in a tan-colored sedan, authorities said.
Deputies urged anyone with information about the woman’s identity to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
