A crash involving a fire truck and at least three other vehicles in West Los Angeles Thursday left four people injured, two critically, authorities said.

No firefighters were injured in the crash that occurred about 12:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Barrington Avenue, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The LAFD fire truck was on an emergency call with its siren and lights activated at the time of the collision, Humphrey said.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
