Los Angeles County firefighters plan to leave the Sage Fire at 7 p.m., Friday, now that all flames are out and the burn area is 95 percent contained, authorities said.
Firefighters spent the past two days and nights patrolling the area and making sure there were no hot spots, said fire officials. A total of 1100 acres burned.
Since the blaze was reported about 12:05 p.m. Saturday, three firefighters were injured and at least one building damaged. The cause of the fire was still under investigation, as was the issue of whether the house fire was related to the Sage Fire, officials said.
After the fire was reported on Saturday, residents were evacuated from 700 homes but were told about 9:30 that night they could go home.
