A person was shot and killed in Venice Wednesday afternoon, possibly by an assailant wearing a “Star Wars” mask.
Officers found the victim in the street while responding about 4:05 p.m. to a shots-fired call in the area of Seventh Avenue and Brooks Court in Venice, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
The victim, whose gender and age were not immediately available, was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
A witness reported seeing a male dressed in gray shorts, a black hoodie and possibly wearing a “Star Wars” mask leaving the area following the shooting, Eisenman said.
