A pedestrian was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in North Hollywood Friday night.
The victim was struck about 7:05 p.m. near the 6800 block of Vineland Avenue, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
