One was person was killed and another person suffered critical injuries Saturday while riding a motorcycle in the Silver Lake community of Los Angeles.
The deceased victim was pronounced dead at the scene and paramedics rushed the second person to an area hospital in critical condition, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 11:58 a.m. to the scene of the crash in the 1400 block of North Micheltorena Street, Stewart said. The age or genders of the victims were not immediately known.
