A man operating a motorcycle was killed Wednesday when the bike and a car were involved in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach.
The crash occurred at 4:55 p.m. on PCH at Lemon Avenue, according to Long Beach police Lt. Ryan LeBaron.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
No one in the car was injured and there were no immediate reports that the vehicle’s driver was arrested, but an investigation was continuing hours after the crash, LeBaron said.
The crash closed PCH in both directions until about 7:30 p.m., when eastbound lanes were reopened, according to the lieutenant.
